How to Estimate Square Roots: • Without a calculator: • Find a perfect square root that is close in value to the imperfect square root • If the perfect square is greater than the imperfect square the answer will lie between the perfect square integer and the integer one LESS than it • If the perfect square is less than the imperfect square the answer will lie between the perfect square integer and the integer one GREATER than it
