Bell Ringer #13 Tuesday, March 11th

This lesson plan engages students in exploring the three major Middle Eastern religions: Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. Students will first assess their current knowledge of these religions and then become experts in one of them by selecting essential information from assigned readings. Students will read specific chapters, answer questions, and utilize expert advice to refine their understanding. The goal is to foster a deeper appreciation for the significance and similarities of these monotheistic faiths. Homework is due on March 12th.

  6. Here is the plan… • Students will determine their knowledge of the 3 major religions of the Middle East. • Students will select the most important information and become an expert on 1 of the 3 religions. • Students will revise answers using expert advice.

  9. #3 - Protestants & Catholics

  10. #4 – Religion of Israel

  11. #5 – Old Testament Religion Ten Commandments

  12. #6 – Allows polygamy

  13. #7 – Oldest of the 3

  14. #8 – Koran or Qur’an

  15. #9 – Believe in Jesus as the Messiah.

  16. #10 – Jerusalem is Holy

  17. #11 – Sunni & Shia

  18. #12 - Gospels
