  1. The Posture Pedometer Cummerbund • Team Tito’s Burritos • Kelly Han • Kevin Vo • Kyle Mauer (Team Lead) • Dr. Aziz Inan ( Faculty Advisor) • SrijaPidaparthy (Industry Advisor) • Dr. Deborah Munro (Client) • Dr. Andrew Nuxoll (Instructor)

  2. The Posture Pedometer Cummerbund + =

  3. Components Flex Sensor – Input for posture Tilt Switch – Input for pedometer Arduino – Processor Vibrating Motor – Output for posture LCD Readout – Output for pedometer

  4. Scorecard • December milestones • Finalize Flex Sensor Arduino Code (Major) • Flex sensor is fine-tuned and working properly and accurately • Final order for electronic components (Minor) • All parts ordered • January milestones • Interface pedometer with Arduino on breadboard (Major) • Successfully read inputs with pedometer switch

  5. Scorecard • Purchase Velcro for cummerbund (Minor) • Create first cummerbund fabric prototype(Minor) • As seen in class today • Finalize pedometer sensor Arduino code (Minor) • Still not accurate in recognizing individual contacts • Push button pseudo code? • Moved to February 25th

  6. Other Accomplishments • Team Tito’s acquired a box to house the LCD screen! • And immediately discarded it… • Fasten a clip to back of PCB instead OR • Sew screen directly into cummerbund • Unless something tears/breaks, no second cummerbund prototype seems necessary

  7. What’s Next? • February milestones • Interface both the pedometer and flex sensor on Arduino simultaneously • Finalize LCD screen housing • Finalize LCD screen Arduino code • Finalize pedometer sensor Arduino code

  8. Issues/Concerns • How can we provide additional protection to electronic components? • Non rigid, non conductive, strong, soft material • If LCD screen is attached to the cummerbund, weight may be an issue. • Original design would probably be best in this case

  9. Go Team Tito’s • The Posture Pedometer Cummerbund • 5 components • Arduino Microcontroller • Marketable • 100k entrepreneur challenge?
