This document outlines the present status of Windows 2000 (W2000) migration initiatives at Fermilab (FNAL) as of Fall 1999. It details the establishment of a migration plan team, ongoing testing with Lucent DNS and DHCP, and the creation of a small experimental domain. Additionally, it discusses plans to engage NT factions in a working group to test applications on workstations and explore enhancements for the Active Directory schema. The document also hints at potential renaming strategies for FNAL's internal domains and recommends a tree structure for site organization.
