This article shares the reflections of a 1984 graduate from Fremont School for the Deaf now attending California State University, Northridge (CSUN). The transition from high school to college has proven to be more challenging than anticipated. While they enjoy their college experience, the demanding coursework and research papers present a stark contrast compared to the easier high school days. The need for intense focus and support from interpreters highlights the unique challenges faced by Deaf students in a higher education environment.
