  1. PRESENTATION TASK Classroom Context: This performance assessment focuses on a second grade teacher, Ms. Hardee who is preparing a unit on the clouds. Background: As part of the study on the different types of clouds, Ms. Hardee would like to present to her students a brief slide show presentation outlining the cloud types. She would like the presentation to consist of one introductory slide and one slide on cirrus (high clouds), alto (middle clouds) and stratus (low clouds). She would like to have each slide in the presentation advance manually. Ms. Hardee has provided a link to the graphics for the four slides that can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.   2. The Task: Ms. Hardee has asked the Master Technology Teacher for assistance in creating the presentation. Using your knowledge of presentation software, create a model slide show presentation to Ms. Hardee’s specifications. Using this presentation, you should: Create an introduction slide that provides the subject, date and teacher’s name. • Create slides 4 through 8 using the five files provided by Ms. Hardee. Each slide should contain a title, an appropriate graphic image and text provided displayed as a bulleted list. • Animate the entry of the text of slides 5 and 7 (the animations should occur automatically and not require a mouse or keyboard click). • Animate the entry of the graphics in slides 6 and 8 (the animations should occur automatically and not require a mouse or keyboard click). • Formatting • Use appropriate transitions to communicate effectively without distracting from the content of the presentation. • Use a color scheme appropriate for audience members including those who may be color-blind. • Use the principles of design to format the text and graphics to communicate to the intended audience. • Provide a brief explanation defending your selections above in the notes section of the introduction slide.

(Slide #3) Alto Clouds These clouds found 6,500 to 18,000 feet The types are: altostratus, altocumulus Clouds are gray or blue-gray Composed of ice crystals and water droplets Usually cover the entire sky Usually form ahead of rain or snow storms (Slide #4) Stratus Clouds These clouds found up to 6,500 feet The types are: stratus, stratocumulus, nimbostratus Clouds are uniform grayish They resemble fog that does not reach ground Light mist or drizzle sometimes falls out of these clouds (Slide #1) Clouds A cloud is a large collection of tiny drops of water Three groups of clouds: Cirrus are high clouds Alto are middle clouds Stratus are low clouds (Slide #2 ) Cirrus Clouds These clouds found above 18,000 feet The types are: cirrus, cirrostratus, cirrocumulus Cirrus clouds are most common of high clouds Usually white and predict fair to pleasant weather
