  3. The sun’s heat makes Earth the perfect place to live.

  4. The light from the sun will heat up any surface it hits.

  5. When the sun’s rays are blocked we call it shade. Shade is always cooler than sunlight.

  6. We measure the sun’s heat energy with a thermometer.

  7. This is a terrarium. The light bulb acts like the sun. It provides heat and energy.
