What is a Hybrid • Hybrid: an offspring that is a cross between different species, genera, or, in rare cases, families. • Most Hybrids are man-made although some rare cases do occur in the wild. • Hybrids are often named by the portmanteau method • Combining names of parent species • Traditionally the father name appears first

  3. Most Common Hybrids • Liger/Tigon • Mule/hinny • Wolf dog • Grolar Bear
