Florence Kelley September 12, 1859-Febraury 17 • American social and political reformer • Speaks against child labor • Kelley fought to make it illegal for children under the age of 14 to work and to limit the hours of children under 16. • Worked hard to force American Industry to adopt humane conditions • Founder of the NAACP Woman's Rights Activists (www.thelizlibrary.org)
