PVCP Philosophy • “Through athletic competition, to grow a deeper relationship with God and an understanding of how to honor Him” • Put our best team on the field • Skill, integrity and witness • Encourage student participation • Coach, Player and Parent Accountability • Stewarts of character, faith and our school
Eligibility • The Student Athlete • “C” average minimum in core classes • Eligibility period begins 3 weeks into quarter • Athletic Director to monitor grades on the third Monday after eligibility period begins • Student and Parent notified prior to practices or game
Parental Involvement • Prepare student athlete for practice and games • Support coaches and Athletic Director • Field prep, travel, skill development, authority • Booster Club
Parent Expectations • Respect game officials, players, coaches, opposing fans and facilities • Recognize outstanding performance on either side of the playing field • Be exemplary role models of sportsmanship • Maintain composure at all times
Injuries • Physical Exams and limitations • Medical Emergency Release Form • Incident Report completed by the Coach • Game or practice time decision for treatment • Injury discovered at home • Insurance
