Cell Phone Policy • All HCPSS policies still apply • Phones MUST be in “silent mode” • Allowed to use in hallway, at lunch, & during Hawktime • In class use is at discretion of teacher • Misuse will result in school consequences
Bring Your Own Device • Teachers in the building will provide opportunities for students to use their own technology to complete lesson activities. • Students may bring in their smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc and access the HCPSS-Wireless network. Students will also have a school email address. • Students won’t be required to have a device. In some cases, devices will be provided to students who need them. • Students and parents will be asked to complete a user agreement.

Safe School Ambassadors • Focus on empowering bystanders to speak up and intervene in bullying situations • Identifying socially influential leaders in a variety of school “cliques” who will make a difference with the training they receive • 40 students and 8 staff members will be trained on Monday October 5th and Tuesday October 6th • Parent Program on Monday October 5th • Yearlong meetings and activities to promote a safe environment
Healthy Vending Options • HCPSS Wellness Policy • Beverages and snacks sold after school in vending machines must meet Tier 2 guidelines. • Does not impact club fundraisers or PTSA/Boosters sales
