What we saw When we were canoeing and just observing the river we saw a lot of garbage around the river like- Cans, burn barrel, wrappers, bottles, ext… But when we went canoeing we saw a couple of tires sitting on the bottom of the river, a collapsed bridge, and cans. This is not good for the river. I saw a carp and minnows as well as a crawfish and other crastations and a frog. We also saw swallows swooping in to devour small insects. And water bugs-worms. In some parts of our part of the river there were patches of algae. When we went across the river it got so shallow all there was was mud and in the mud we saw methane bubbles. There was also a lot of goose pooparound the river which means there is a lot in the river. The mullet is very shallow.

3. What we can do to fix it For the garbage problem we can take 4-5 days out of the year where Riverview Middle school takes time out of the school day and the whole entire school cleans up garbage in an around the river. We could also put a filtration system to clean out the waste in the water.

4. What is the overall health? Dissolved oxygen- 10 A 10 is very healthy and good in a river. Phosphate- 1 A 1 is also good for a river. The temperature- was 55 degrees So the tests we took were all good so the only problem is the garbage and how shallow it is which cause a lot of weeds and plants to grow. If we could drain it and kill all the plants than fill it back up It would work.
