  6. Boys Season in Review • 15 Boys - 5 seniors, 3 juniors, 3 sophs & 4 frosh. • 4 Top 10 lists - 40 slots, 15 changes. • 4-5 in Kingco meets. • Kingco Leagues - 5th place. • Return to Districts. 4 of 6 years in Kingco • SeaKing Districts – 11th place CHS XC

  15. Cody Chappell • First year runner as a freshman. • Earned his first Varsity letter. • Almost broke Frosh record at Sunfair. • Fastest race – Kingco’s 18:54 – 6:06 pace. • What to be in 2003 – A solid member of our top 5. CHS XC

  19. Jacob Gremmert • First year runner as a freshman. • Earned a junior varsity award. • Fastest race – SeaKing’s 25:17 – 8:08 pace. • What to be in 2003 – Running all his races in the same manner that he ran this year’s SeaKing race. CHS XC

  21. David Howard • First year runner as a freshman. • Earned a junior varsity award. • Fastest race – Issaquah / Newport 21:36 – 6:51 pace. • What to be in 2003 – Keep working on being as good a runner as a wrestler. CHS XC

  23. Michael Brittain • Second year running as a sophomore. • Earned a junior varsity award. • Fastest race – Kingco’s – 20:18, 6:33 pace. • What to be in 2003 – Someone who treats every race like a practice. CHS XC

  37. Colin McDonell • Second year running as a junior. • Earned his first Varsity letter. • 9 of 10 races in Top 7. • Fastest race - Kingco Championships 18:19, 5:55 pace. • What to be in 2003 – Not settling to be our # 4, but racing for more. CHS XC

  39. Billy English • Third year running as a senior. • Earned a junior varsity award. • Fastest race – Kingco – 19:44, 6:22 pace. • What McDowell will miss – His desire to be better even if it wasn’t his distance. CHS XC

  40. First to have the SAT test begging for mercy.

  41. Devin Looijen • Fourth year running. • Earned his second Varsity letter. • All races as #7 or #8 runner. • Fastest race – Kingco’s 18:31, 5:58 pace. • What McDowell will miss – His ever present truthfulness. CHS XC

  42. First person willing to hitch a ride with Kelly on a road trip to Spokane.

  43. Blake Hellman • Fourth year running. • Earned his third Varsity letter. • 9 of 10 races in top 6. • Top 10 lists – 6th Camp Test, 7th Lake Stevens, 8th Sunfair, 8th Time Trial • Fastest race – M.I. & Mt. Si – 17:55, 5:47 pace • What McDowell will miss – His dedication to running. CHS XC

Brian Lee • Fourth year running. • Earned his third Varsity letter. • 10 of 10 races in our top 2. • District qualifier as an individual. • Top 10 Lists – 4th Camp Test, 5th Lake Stevens, 6th Time Trial, 6th Sunfair, 6th Kingco • Fastest race – Kingco’s 17:07, 5:31 pace. • What McDowell will miss – His leadership CHS XC

Pat Conrick • Third year running as a senior. • Earned his third Varsity letter. • 9 of 10 races as # 1 runner. • Top 10 lists – 4th Sunfair, 4th Lake Stevens, 5th Time Trial, 5th Camp Test, 5th Kingco. • Fastest race - Kingco Championships 16:50, 5:26 pace. • What McDowell will miss – His junior year of XC.   48. First person to ask if Riverside or Sehome is coming to the meet.

  49. Kelly Ramirez • Earned her fourth Varsity letter. • First in all six Top 10 lists. • 2nd place - Kingco, 3rd Time All-Kingco. • 2nd place – SeaKing, 2nd Time All-SeaKing. • 8th place – State, 2nd Time All-State. Border Clash qualifier. • Fastest race – Kingco – 18:52, 6:05 pace. • What McDowell will miss – Everything CHS XC

Top 10 things we will miss about our gravel “track”. • #10: No more running to the fire hydrant. • #9: No more stepping over the red barrier at top speed. • #8: No more running through car ruts. • #7: No more having to turn using right angles. • #6: No more explaining to rookies where the intervals start and stop.
