  2. Obnoxious--adjective • Unpleasant in a way that makes people feel offended, annoyed, or disgusted • Ex: I woke up at 6 a.m. to the sound of an obnoxious car alarm.

  3. Ominous-adjective • Suggesting that something bad is going to happen in the future • Ex: The ominous black clouds warned of a strong upcoming storm.

  4. Onslaught--noun • A violent attack • Ex: Usually I stay away from the park to avoid an onslaught of angry geese – I don’t want to experience that again!
