  2. Plant Cell wall • The Cell wall of the plant cell is the fairly rigid layer that surrounds the cell. It is located outside the cell membrane and provides cells with structural support and protection, and also acts as a filtering mechanism •A major function of the cell wall is to act as a pressure vessel, preventing over-expansion when water enters the cell

  3. Plant Cell: Chloroplast •Chloroplasts are organelles found in plant cells and other eukaryotic organisms that conduct photosynthesis Chloroplast capture light energy to conserve free energy in the form of ATP and reduce NADP to NADPH through a complex set of processes called photosynthesis

  4. How Chloroplasts work • The purpose of the chloroplast is to make sugars and starches • They use a process called photosynthesis to get the job done • Photosynthesis is the process of a plant using energy from the sun
