Conservation of Wildlife in India: Importance and Strategies for Biodiversity Preservation

Wildlife encompasses all uncultivated plants and non-domesticated animals, playing a crucial role in India's rich biodiversity. The conservation of wildlife is vital to prevent the extinction of valuable species and maintain ecological balance. This initiative by the Indian government focuses on ensuring sustainable use of ecosystems, preserving biodiversity, and promoting economic development through tourism. Factors contributing to species extinction include habitat destruction, poaching, and illegal export. Conservation efforts aim to protect endangered species like the rhinoceros, Kashmir stag, and Asiatic lion.
