Understanding Erectile Dysfunction in Canada: Key Facts and Statistics

Erectile dysfunction (ED) affects 2 to 3 million men in Canada, with a notable prevalence in those with cardiovascular (CV) conditions. Research indicates that 39-64% of men with CV issues experience ED. Other conditions such as diabetes and hypertension also show significant associations, with prevalence rates ranging from 27-59% and 59%, respectively. Furthermore, only 10% of sexually active men perceive themselves to have ED, while the reality is that 32.2% of men over 45 actually do. Awareness and open discussions about ED remain critical for effective management and treatment.
