SC21: • Is an industry change programme designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace, defence and security industries by raising the performance of their supply chains. • Has seen companies benefitting from specific savings, such as: • Reduced overheads • Operational improvement • Increased competitiveness • Leaner production • Cost reduction • Lower set-up times • Is a national strategy, executed regionally

  5. 1 - Sign- Up • Contact Centre for Competitiveness • Request a quotation and contract • Sign and return contract

  6. 2 - Customer (Supplier) Engagement • Agree Programme project plan and key dates • Complete and agree initial engagement process • Sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement • Agree Supply Chain Relationship Code of Practice

  7. 3.1 - Relationship (RMM) Assessment • - Sponsor Company engaged and objects agreed • - Stakeholders identified & briefed • - Workshops arranged and confirmed • - Questionnaires issued • - Questionnaires completed and returned • - Data validated and analysis completed • - Workshop agenda finalised and results tabulated. • - Customer / Supplier Workshop • Current position reviewed & future requirements agreed • Priority Areas for Improvement agreed • Improvement action plan issued • Relationship Management Plan established • - Regular Customer / Supplier Review process agreed • - Report issued

  8. 3.2 - LEAN (ManEx) Assessment • Self-assessment pro forma questionnaire provided to the organisation • - Self-assessment outcomes returned to the Centre for Competitiveness • - Centre for Competitiveness Man Ex Qualified Assessor carries out on-site • validation of self-assessment and develops results profile

  9. 3.3 - Business Excellence (BusEx) Assessment • - Self-assessment pro forma questionnaire provided to the organisation • - Self-assessment outcomes returned to the Centre for Competitiveness • - Centre for Competitiveness SC21 Qualified Assessor carries out on-site validation of self-assessment and develops results profile

  10. 3.5 - Continuous Sustainable Improvement Plan (CSIP) • Develop continuous sustainable improvement plan. • The outputs from all the diagnostics incorporating priority projects, accountabilities, timescales and deliverables against which the company’s internal business improvement activities will be focussed and performance measured.

  11. Executing the CSIP • Set and delegate work teams to complete the CSIP • Review regularly and record progress • When actions are completed, record evidence • The company will need to demonstrate a successful CSIP execution as part of the validation process

  12. Quality and Delivery Metrics & Performance Data all verified and agreed with customers.

  13. 3.6 - Recognition • The award process exists and is mandatory for any sized company to submit for an award. To meet the entry criteria the diagnostics must meet the required levels. • An approved SC21 Strategic Partner and Training Practitioner must be engaged and the CISP fully in place showing progress and metrics levels are being achieved.
