Analyzing Character Through Verbs: David's Dread

This lesson explores how verbs shape our understanding of characters in narrative writing. By examining a scene where a dark figure enters a hall, learners are prompted to convey character emotions and relationships through dialogue. Students will create descriptive sentences and develop a spider diagram focused on verb usage. The session aims to enhance descriptive writing skills while reflecting on personal confidence levels in understanding characterization.
