  3. Project Objectives • Our consulting firm will need to design and implement a comprehensive information system for the Karun Restaurant Group. The Karun Restaurant Group currently operates in five major cities (Beijing, Sydney, Athens, Atlanta, Barcelona) promoting an entertaining experience catering to both the casual and the professional crowd, while retaining corporate headquarters in Houston, TX.

  4. Project Objectives Cont… • This project is budgeted for $1.5 mil.

  5. Approach • A system for making/tracking/reviewing reservations at all five restaurant locations that can be viewed by management at both the restaurant and at corporate headquarters. Management hopes for the ability to make reservations online in advance.

  6. Approach Cont… • A system to track restaurant sales, determining the “strongest” selling entrees, beverages, desserts, etc. They plan to use this data in their focused marketing plans for 2009. Management also expressed the hopes that this data to assist their efforts to streamline their supply ordering processes.

  7. Approach Cont… • A system for scheduling employees that would staff heavily to handle busy periods of time, and lesser to handle slower periods of traffic. This system will need to be flexible to allow for management data analysis opportunities in the future.
