Cities in france • The capital city in France is Paris. • Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse and Nice are other well known cities in France as well. • The population of France is over 66 million. • The Eiffel tower is in Paris. It is 342 metres tall, it is the same height as an 81 story building. • Over 10 million people live in Paris.

  3. Mountains,rivers and lakes • Mount Blanc is the highest mountain in France. It is 4,810m tall. • Mont Maudit is the second highest and Mont Blanc du Tacul is the third highest. • The Loire is the longest river in France it is 1,013km long. • Lake Geneva is the largest lake in France and it also is on the border of Switzerland and Lac du Bourget is the deepest.

  4. france • The French flag is blue, white and red. • France is part of Europe • Frances neighbouring countries are Andorra, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Monaco, Spain and Switzerland.

  5. food Frogs legs, snails, rabbit and different types of cheeses are common in France. Cherries, apples, pears and grapes are grown in France. • France is well know for some of its food. Croissants, crepes, pain au chocolat, French fries and French baguette are all well known foods in France.

  6. CURRENCY • France’s currency is the Euro. It was previously the French Franc but in 2002 it was changed to the Euro like most other countries in Europe. LANGUAGE • Frances official language is French. Around 66% of people in France can speak at least a little English.
