Role in NARNIA Development and technical maintenance of the project Website and the Collaboration Intranet Host and fund the research of ESR8 to work on: The application and development of computational intelligence methodologies in analyzing archaeological data (WP5) pattern recognition techniques for adaptive learning, expert intelligent algorithms to assist archeological research in analyzing and making sense out of large quantities of structured and semi-structured data Cooperation with KIOS Research Centerfor Intelligent Systems and Networks (see next slides) Time schedule: Months 13-48

Role in NARNIA Training courses (Month 30, May 2013) Methodologies in analyzing structured and semi-structured archaeological data towards extracting knowledge Especially designed for archaeologists, anthropologists and other research fellows originating from the field of humanities Focus on best practices on data storing, data analysis, information representation and knowledge extraction

Our NARNIA team George Milis (Director and RTD Manager at EuroCy) MSc in Advanced Computing with specialisation in Artificial Intelligence from the Department of Computing, Imperial College London, and a Diploma from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in Electrical and Computing Engineering Served for 6 years as Senior IT consultant in European Dynamics SA in Athens, Greece Extensive experience in knowledge extraction and management, semantically-enhanced interoperable services, project management, analysis and consulting for efficient adoption of technology in collaborative environments DemetriosEliades (Senior Consultant at EuroCy) PhD in Electrical Engineering, UCY, (in 2011), MSc in Artificial Intelligence in 2005 from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, a Diploma from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in Electrical and Computing Engineering Research assistant in KIOS Research Center for Intelligent Systems and Networks Background in computational and artificial intelligence, statistical learning and pattern recognition Liza Charalambous (Early Stage Researcher at EuroCy) MSc in Digital Signal Processing Intelligent System (2011) and BSc Hons in Information Technology and Multimedia Communications (2010), from Lancaster University Currently employed at EuroCy and KIOS Research Center as an Early Stage Researcher for the NARNIA project Background in sound and image processing, adaptive filters and intelligent systems multimedia coding and distribution, and several techniques of computational intelligence
