  2. What we Will be doing Today? • As second graders you will; • Identify if the verb is in future tense. • Learn how to change the Verb to Future Tense. • View each slide and follow the instructions provide. • Ask Questions!

  3. What is future tense? • Ask, Is something going to happen?. • “He will work on his homework tomorrow”. • Practice: • 1. Sally had walked home. • 2. A dog chased Sally on Wednesdays • 3. Sally will drop her lunch on Wednesday.

  4. Changing to Future Tense • On a piece of paper, write down your answers. • How to change to FUTURE TENSE. • Add the word “WILL”. • Might have to Remove “ed”. • Examples • 1. Mr. Robot will need a battery to function. • 2. Mr. Robot will work this Friday at the pizza parlor.

  5. Future Tense • Practice makes perfect: • 1. You talk too much . • 2. I wanted a burger for lunch. • 3. He said “I will eat the grilled cheese instead”. • 4. I run on Sundays.
