  2. AVID is your best reason • Scholarship – Look at article. How do I know you read it? Where are the notes? • Leadership through service • Effort • College success • There is no reason that this time next year EVERY senior should be a freshmen next year.

  3. Getting in, playing along • Routines are boring but stay focused (SAT prep, AP prep, college essays, binders, Cornell notes, PSGs) • You WILL get in if you work • Helping others makes you better too • Long-term goals will bring short-term goals

  4. Homework • 1 page reflection • Why are you in this class?
