Study #1: ACC activity and alcohol dependence • Kent Huchison • Activation of the ACC is associated with alcoholism in adolescents. • Examine ACC activity among adults using FMRIs • Results: • Increased activation of the ACC.. • Alcoholic thoughts: Increased activation of hippo campus and thalamus.

How does the brain function when we daydream? • Aim: To found of what part of the brain that functions when we daydream. • Findings: It’s an important cognitive state and the findings where that the anterior cingulate cortex is active as well as the medial prefrontal cortex, posterior cingulate cortex and temporoparietal junction. The more we daydream the more our junctions are active.
