  3. Leonhard Euler’s life • Leonhard Euler was: • Born in April 17,1707 at Basil, Switzerland • He died in September 18, 1783 in St.Petersburg, Russia after suffering from Brain Hemorrhage and was placed beside his wife’s grave after death

  4. Interesting Facts about Leonhard Euler’s life • Leonhard Euler was: • On the 40 and 20 cent stamp • Studying Greek, theology, and Hebrew before his teacher told him he was a great mathematician • A professor of physics • And was the head of the mathematics department in Basel

  5. Other Interesting facts about Leonhard Euler • in 1766 Euler accepted an invitation to return to the St. Petersburg Academy and spent the rest of his life in Russia. His second stay in the country was marred by tragedy. A fire in St. Petersburg in 1771 cost him his home, and almost his life. In 1773, he lost his wife of 40 years • And Euler also had eyesight deterioration which occurred in his career of mathematics
