NEW Terminology to learn: • Waiting areas = Guest Lounges • Main Corridor level of the building is Level 2 = MAIN LEVEL • Entry/motor court/drop off entries are located at the GROUND LEVEL • NCB is just a project name, the two towers will each be named for a major donor- naming conventions not yet finalized. • Four major entrances to the Hospital: • Main Entrance (Orleans St.) • Wolfe St. Entrance • Historic or Broadway Entrance • Outpatient Entrance • And more to come…
NEW Rules to learn: • Main entrance is not for employee drop-off or pick up, or pizza deliveries, or employee shuttles. Wolfe street entrance will be used for those purposes. • NO transport or emergency ambulances, or patient transfers will come to the main entrance – Ambulances have a dedicated entry from Wolfe St. at Jefferson. Wolfe Street entrance will also be used for non-emergent patient transports to Nelson and Meyer. • Public elevators are for guests, visitors, and staff use. • NO clinical equipment is to ride the public elevators. • Staff may use patient transport elevators when appropriate, but transport elevators are subject to recall for transport use. • Clinical staff have no access to material transport elevators, and materials transport staff have no access to patient transport elevators. • Gardens at building are for ‘front of the house’ and for patient enjoyment, not for staff to lounge or lunch and litter. • Guest Lounges are for our Guests (patients and visitors), not staff. • More to come…
