  1. Being a teenager in Greece! Schoollife... February 20007 Tziva

  2. School nowadays! • School ... When we all hear this word our first thought are our friends, our teachers the subjects and the endless hours sitting on a desk. Actually, a student today goes to school 8 hours a day and that means 40 hours a week!!! And only 3 of these hours are for athletic activities. We all agree with the fact that all the knowledge we absorb and all the new things we learn are extremely important for our future but are also extremely tiring. Teenagers think that what makes the lesson not so interesting is the way the teachers teach. The students suggest a more pleasant teaching way, which will make them more interested in the lesson. As you can see students have some complaints, which are referred to in this project.

  3. The most dominant choices are given below 20% of the students say that school work is their priority. 17% say that sport is their priority and 13% say that social interaction is their priority

  4. Extra priorities / extra curricular activities Many students today take extra curricular activities because they think that this is pleasant. The rest of them claim their parents make them take these activities. In addition to our survey 90% of the students take extra curricular activities. 40% of these students do sports and 60% foreign languages. Also most students take extra curricular activities more than 4 hours per week.

  5. NO: because 70% think fewer tests should be given out 25% think we are not given enough educational trips 5 % think that students should participate more

  6. 54% believe being funny is the ideal quality for a teacher 20% believe that the teacher needs to be kind 16% believe that energy is an important quality for a teacher

  7. The ideal school and teacher According to our survey most students are not happy with the way the classes are carried out. Half of them claim that there must not be so many tests. The other half believe that we should make more educational trips. Answering our question “choose three adjectives that describe the ideal teacher” a percentage of 100% wrote down that an ideal teacher has to be funny. Half of them believe that he must be kind and the fewer of them think that he must be energetic.

  8. Conclusion To sum up, students spend more than 40 hours at school and most of them (approximately 90%) aren’t happy with the way that classes are carried out. Their idea of a perfect teacher is one that is funny and fair. Half of the children don’t take any extra-curricular activities, because they spend many hours at school!! • Melina Stamatelou • Irini Vlachou • Napoleon Rombolakis • Konstadinos Kakoudakis • Panos Marinopoulos • Iasonas Broutsos
