  3. Plot elements • Exposition (Introduction): Beginning that sets up the story. It introduces the characters and the setting. • Setting- Where and when the story takes place. • Rising action- events that develop the problem or conflict and lead to the climax. • Climax: The height of the action, also called the turning point • Falling action- events that resolve the problem and lead to resolution. • Resolution- how the conflict was solved.
