  2. School Preference of NDKC-IBED Senior Students High school years is not the end of students life. Definitely after 4 years in high school, they would proceed to college to any schools they prefer and enroll in courses their abilities are best fitted. Here in Kidapawan City, NDKC is one of the competitive school that offers not just elementary education, high school education, but also college education.

  3. But it was found out that most of the students from the NDKC-IBED high school department would not enroll to NDKC for their college degree. They would prefer schools outside Kidapawan City. So we, students of math 421 Investigation and Modeling would like to determine why NDKC senior students would prefer other schools instead of NDKC.

  4. Statement of the Problem The researchers would like to determine the school preference of senior students of NDKC- IBED. Specifically it sought to answer the following questions: • What is the profile of the students in terms of: a. gender b. age c. parents income d. school preference of the students

  5. 2. Is there a significant relationship between school preference and gender of the respondents? 3. Is there a significant relationship of school preference and age of the respondents? 4. Is there a significant relationship between school preference and parents income of the students?

  6. 5. What are the school preferences of the respondents? 6. What are the reasons for considering NDKC as a school to study college? 7. What are the reasons for not considering NDKC as a school to study college?

  11. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation, it Shows that : • Age and School Preference – rxy= 0.12 b. Gender and School Preference – rxy = 0.14 c. Parents Income and School Preference – rxy= 0.38

  13. TOP 5 REASONS FOR CONSIDERING NDKC 1. NDKC offers quality education. 2. Its near to our place. 3. School facilities are excellent. 4. Teachers are qualified and competent. 5. We prefer religious school.

  14. TOP 5 REASONS FOR NOT CONSIDERING NDKC 1.Quality of education to other schools are excellent. 2. The school curriculum / subjects are organize. 3. The teachers are highly qualified and competent. 4. Other schools guarantees immediate hiring. 5. The facilities of other schools are better. Assures job after graduation.

  15. RECOMMENDATIONS • The school should look into offering computer engineering course since there is a possibility that NDKC-HS students will enroll in the program. • There is a need to further intensify the nursing degree program through upgrading its curriculum, provide better facilities and instruction since there is a potential clientle from NDKC-HS. • The school should look into the offerings of short term courses such as care givers, midwifery and nursing aid.

  16. The school should upgrade facility such as laboratories for science, computer, and engineering. • The administrator should look into the content of the curriculum whether to alter or modify such subjects and make it more organize. • The administrators should look into the teachers’ effectiveness, and competitiveness for better instruction. • Teachers should focused on the students learning and strive more to offer quality education.
