Engaging Sales Pitch Assignment to Enhance Persuasive Skills

This engaging sales pitch assignment, designed by Melinda Phillabaum, fosters teamwork and develops persuasive communication skills among students. In teams, students select a leader who chooses an item to "sell". They prepare a strategic sales pitch in 10 minutes, followed by presentations from all teams. The class evaluates pitches based on adaptation to the audience, persuasive techniques used, and overall desire for the product, culminating in rich discussions on persuasive communication. This activity can fit any student level and promotes creativity, critical thinking, and team collaboration.
