  2. To talk about what time it is, use: • ¿Quéhoraes?

  3. To say what time it is: • Son las#. • Ej: Son lascinco. (it’s five o’clock) • Esla una. = It is one o’clock.

  4. To add on minutes… • For minutes 1-30, use y to add on minutes to the hour • Ej: Son lascincoycuatro. (It’s 5:04) • For minutes 31-59, use menos to subtract minutes before the next hour • Ej: Son lascincomenosdiez. (It’s 4:50)

  5. Special words… • media = 30 • Ej: Son lascinco y media. (It’s 5:30) • cuarto = 15 • Ej: Son lascinco y cuarto. (It’s 5:15) • Ej: Son las seis menos cuarto. (It’s 5:45)
