We will strengthen our strategic partnership in bilateral, regional and global levels” “ Korea is the first Asian country that concluded a Framework Agreement and an FTA with the EU in 2010. The Framework Participation Agreement in crisis Management operation will be signed early next year. Korea will be the only country that have three important agreements covering politics, economy and security areas with the EU”

  3. “ Our partnership with Korea is at the avant garde of our external relations.” “ Korea was the first G20 country with which we concluded a Framework Agreement and a second generation free trade agreement. These Agreements are now the bedrock of our partnership.” “ I believe, complementary concepts, Korea's ‘creative economy’ and EU's ‘smart, sustainable and inclusive growth’ strategies. We share the same view that prosperity in the long term needs to come from new sources of growth.”

  4. “ More than ever, our relationship is anchored in the promotion and defence of common values and principles. ” “ The EU express gratitude for important contribution by Korea to EUCAP/NESTOR, an operation aimed at developing naval capabilities of Eastern Africa coastal states in order to assist them in the fight against piracy. ” “ I expressed EU’s support to President Park’s trust building policy and initiatives in the broader region. In particular I welcomed her invitation to the EU to participate her Northeast Peace and Cooperation Initiative.”
