  4. Necessity of The Project This route Carries Heavy Mining and Industrial Traffic. A large number of lime, cement and chemical Industries nearly more than 100 are situated on this road. Besides this a large number lime stone quarries are also situated in the surroundings of this Road. The road caters for raw and finished lime product transportation. The area is agriculturally rich and improvement of this road will reduce the operation and maintenance cost of vehicles plying over this road.

Study Objective • Development of the road as two laning with paved shoulder or earthen shoulder. • Determining technical feasibility & financial viability. • Development & Construction of project highway with project facilities, enhanced safety & Level of services. • To ensure minimum adverse impact on local population, road users & environment . • Phased development of project highway for improving its financial viability with minimum inconvenience to traffic if additional work are undertaken within 7 years.

Axle load Spectrum completed. • Topographic, Alignment and Land use survey completed for 70km of project road. Bridge & road condition survey completed. • Geotech, material, hydrology, drainage survey in progress • Inspection of available records completed. • Land Plan survey under preparation. • Environment and social impact study in progress.

  11. Project Description • Project Road is Road from Gotan to Sojat Via Pundlu – Borunda • Project Road is having total length of 93 Kms. • Project Road length is 23 KM in district Nagour. • Project Road length is 58 KM in district Jodhpur & 12 KM in Pali

Project Road passes through town villages as below : • Predominant land use is agriculture. • Structures are generally in good condition. • Minor bridges and pipe culverts shall have to be reconstructed / widened. • Flush Causeways will be replaced by Culverts. • Bypass at Ransigaon-Hariadhana and pundlu are proposed. • Construction of CC road in Borunda mining area and other water logged village portions.

  18. ALIGNMENT THROUGH TOWN/VILLAGES The alignment passes through village Gotan-Pundlu-Borunda-Hariadhana-Ransigaon-Murkasni-Jhaak-Khariameethapur-Bilara-Barna and Atpada. Bypass is proposed at Ransigaon. Road Geometrics Improvement proposed near village Pundlu and at road from Pundlu to Borunda.

  34. Traffic Projections As per IRC-37:2001 7.5% increase in traffic per Annum As per Model Concession Agreement 6% increase in traffic per Annum For pavement design : CBR : 10% VDF : BUS 1.5 Truck 3.5 LCV 1.5 Hence for crust design purposes as per IRC-37:2001

  36. Laning Requirement Capacity of 2 lane with earthen shoulder exhausting in year 2023 in respect of Borunda to Khariameethapur, in year 2025 in respect Bilara to Sojat and year 2030 in respect to reach from Gotan to Borunda hence to two lane with paved Shoulder will be required.

Location of Proposed Toll Plazas • To make Toll realization realistic and to facilitate public of this area the entire road has been divided into 4 Toll Zones. • The Toll Plazas do not fall with in 10 Km Municipal Area • The Toll collected at one of the plazas will be verified at the other one.
