In the security world, Video Surveillance is a continous growing sector and very close to the IT technologies. The traditional surveillance systems have been integrated or substituted by solutions of high technological content, improving performance and reliability and at the same time reducing installation and manteinance costs. IT Technoloy has allowed the creation of Video Surveillance Systems in critical environments, has allowed the continuos monitoring of areas very difficult to be reached or very dangerous to supervise with the human presence.

The Axis solutions are base on the Video Surveillance over IP. A technology able to communicate over Ethernet network or via Internet the immages coming from one or more telecameras. The main features of these products are in the capabilities of direct connection beween network and telecamera without the need of an intermediate PC, and in the possibility to watch the video just trough a common internet browser, from any place you are. Thanks to the Axis solutions is possible to extend the usage of Video Surveillance technology to sectors such as Hospitals, Industries, Traffic Monitor, Turims and Domotics.

To watch the images, the remote user need to have a PC with a modem connected to a standard phone line. This solution is good in those situations where you have the need to monitor a place occasionally ( as example an office to be monitored during the opening in the morning and the closing in the evening). The direct connection through modem is suggested also in situations of periodic monitoring of remote tools/electronical devices.

The LAN are extremely used in corporate organizations, private and public, and also in the commercial market like point of sale, the presence of PC networks is constantely growing. A Video Surveillance System over a LAN offers numerous advantages, first among all the cutting of the cost for the realization of a dedicated network. Axis allow to realize Mixed Systems, made up by IP telecameras and analogical telecameras. Below is shown a Mixed System in a Jeweller. Telecameras are connected to internet through the fast connection ADSL.

The technology MPEG-2 integrated allow to tranfer images in quality DVD. The cases are available for the fixed models and the 2130R model. Monitoring areas without light can be a demand in case to avoid criminal acts and intrusions. The Axis 2420 IR Sensitive used with light projectors infrared is an effective solution for the professional video Surveillance. In many occasions cables can be an obstacle.
