PROJECT: Asean Energy Management Scheme (AEMAS) (1-3810)Reporting period: AUGUST 2013 Project Brief/Summary • The scheme will train and certify energy managers who will then implement sustainable energy management systems within their industries/companies. • GreenTechMalaysia has been appointed by Asean Centre for Energy (ACE) as Certification Body for Malaysia • Officially launched in Malaysia by Minister of KeTTHA on 19th July 2011. Objectives • To reduce energy consumption from the manufacturing industrial sector in ASEANcountries by 100,000 MWh; • To reduce emissions of greenhouse gases by 55,000 t-CO2 equivalent in ASEAN countries ; and • To increase the professional standing of accredited energy managers. • Project Sponsor: EU and participants • HR - EURO 118,710.55 • OOP-Pool based on claim • Duration : 1.2.2010 – 31.1.2014 : 4 years • Expected Outcomes • 20 energy manager’s training courses conducted • 450 EM Certified • 20 Local Trainers Certified • 20 Local Auditor Certified • 7 Organizations Certified EMGS • Status • 17 EMTCs conducted • 399 EM Certified • 14 Local Trainers Certified • 2 Local Auditor Certified • 4 Organizations Certified EMGS

PROJECT: Asean Energy Management Scheme (AEMAS) (1-3810)Reporting period: AUGUST 2013 Activities Completed (During reporting period) • Submission of 1 half, 4th Year Progress Report on 7.8.2013 • Conducted project meeting and discussion on roles and responsibilities • Recruitment of trainers and auditors (interview 16.8.2013) • Submission of CEM to become REEM • Submitted 5 candidates to ST • Advised 45 candidates to improve/submit proper report • Assistance to energy end-users to obtain EMGS • Hospital Putrajaya /Radicare % completed: 62 % % funds utilised: 80 % • Activities Planned (For next reporting period) • Assistance to energy end-users to obtain EMGS • UNIMAP 5.9.2013 • UM 17.9.2013 • IWK • GEO Building • Recruitment of trainers and auditors (Endorsement of interview result 13.9.2013) • Presenting AEMAS in 2013 INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL ENGINEERING CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION (11-12 SEPTEMBER 2013) • EMTC 18 (23-27 Sept 2013) • Meeting with stakeholders • SME Corp • MoH
