  5. MapGuide Retirement Strategy • Update • Rationale • Loss of MapGuide / Oracle Spatial expert • Loss of institutional knowledge critical to executing data migration • Need to minimize investment of scarce resources in the legacy system and to focus energy on transitioning to the Esri platform

Bikes & Trails for sample data, week of 3/18 • Initially ArcGIS Online will take advantage of Esri base map data and data imported by end users

MapGuide Retirement Strategy • Update • Data Migration • Migrate legacy data into the Esri database prior to April 1st, 2013 • Includes Planning, Emergency Management, Public Safety Services, and Base data • DEI and Web Enforcer data (vendor-timeframe TBD) • Institute data editing in the Esri database, April 1st • Suspend backfill of data from Esri back to MapGuide/Munsys • Manual dual entry if data must be updated in MapGuide • BTS Bureau performs Esri editing until data stewards assume responsibility • Schedule Esri training to support data stewards commencing Esri editing

Q2-Q3 Work Program –What will BTS Technical Resources Do? • Technical oversight (solution architecture and compliance) • Support Partner with access to eGIS resources such as test databases, and other technical tasks, etc. • Integrate Partner configured solutions into eGIS infrastructure • Coordination of UAT and Peer Reviews • Execution of production rollout • Other Candidates for Q2/Q3 (outside of vendor scope)
