  2. Agenda Structure of the Hispanic National Bar Association and its programs to promote Pro-Bono and Corporate Social Responsibility in the legal profession in the USA. Review the specific work done by HNBA and objectives for the 2008-09 term Discuss International Cooperation for HNBA in CSR & Pro-Bono Initiatives

Review the work done HNBA • Support the National Voice of the Hispanic Legal Community • Since 1972, representing the lawyers of the largest and fastest growing ethnic group in the US • Support diversity and inclusiveness in the profession • Branding with Latinos • Convention and Mid-Year participation opportunities • CLE panels • Learn about best practices • Business development and networking opportunities

  4. HNBA Mission • Advance equal access to justice, diversity and inclusiveness by promoting Hispanic employment and advancement in the legal profession • Serve the Hispanic community in the United States and Puerto Rico through education and advocacy on policy issues

Statistics: Hispanics in the Judiciary and Corporations • 17% of Judges, Magistrates & Other Judicial Workers • 9% African American • .1% Asian American • 8% Hispanic • 38 (7.6%) of the Fortune 500 GCs • 22 (4%) African Americans • 12 (2%) Asian Americans • 3 (l%) Hispanics • 21 (4%) of the Fortune 501-1000 GCs • 9 (2%) African Americans • 7 (1.4%) Asian Americans • 5 (1%) Hispanics • 9 (less than 1%) of the Fortune 1000 GCs were women of color (4 African Americans, 3 Asian Americans and 2 Hispanics) • No data relating to presence of Hispanics and other minorities below GC level
