  1. Organelles By: Tommy Maxwell, Paul Gloth, and Alex Isaac

  2. Ribosome • Definition: Ribosomes are the components of cells that make proteins from amino acids. • Location: Ribosomes are suspended in the cytosol, and bound to the endoplasmic reticulum.

  3. Ribosome • Function: Ribosomes are used to assemble amino acids to form specific proteins. • Structure: Ribosomes are made of the two components RNA and Proteins.

  4. Factory • In a factory Ribosomes are the production line that build the products.

  5. Golgi Body • Definition: Organelles that are found in most eukaryotic cells. • Location: Golgi Bodies are found away fromthe Nucleus and closer to the Cell Membrane.

  6. Golgi Body • Function: Golgi bodies store, package and distribute the proteins and lipids made in the endoplasmic reticulum. • Structure: A network of stacked sacs found within nucleated cells.

  7. Factory • In a factory Golgi Body would be the shipping center.
