    7. Command Surgeons Mission Coordinate military medical operations and medical support to the full spectrum of combat operations. Provide system integration and oversight with emphasis on: - Force Health Protection - Responsive & adequate medical capability - Synchronize component & coalition medical support Manage Theater Joint Blood Program Coordinate Inter & Intra Theater Patient Evacuation Anticipate and respond to emerging requirements and anticipate follow on missions This is a restated version of the mission statement from the Health Service Support chapter of the CINCs Warfighting Instructions dated 1 Nov 97 (Ch 11, CCR 525-1 Vol I). The mission statement considers plans and operations as well as Force Medical Protection measures, humanitarian assistance programs and host nation support arrangements. The Joint Blood Program and Patient Movement Centers are established within the Boards, Bureaus, Centers and Offices necessary to exercise the CINCs directive authority.
