It would make implementation of nuclear power much easier. • Once I choose a particular reactor type am I bound to a single fuel supplier? Countries would like a choice between suppliers to ensure reliable reasonable cost supply. • Which should countries decide on first: a fuel strategy or a particular design TM/WSP 5-9 Nov. 2007

Is it possible to give guidance on when the responsibility should move from one to the other? • Who should be responsible for training in emergency response? • What are the mechanisms for assessing the quality of emergency response plans? • Will there be guidance on which of the latest designs require less off-site emergency planning?
