  3. Main aim • This structural and measurement project proposal aims to focus exactly on internal assessment procedures and methods and education of staff for performing self- assessment according to EFQM excellence model

  4. Background of the project • Lack of financial means, equipment and well-trained personal is very common problem • Lack of regular and systematic quality assessment procedures on our Medical faculties • Lack of common standards for quality control and the recognition or accreditation of the Universities and faculties • Mechanisms for the mutual validation and diploma recognition of the university diplomas in Bosnia and Herzegovina do not exist so far.

  5. WIDER PROJECT OBJECTIVE • Introducing regular quality assessment procedures at Medical faculties in B&H • Improving of quality of teaching at Medical faculties in B&H

  6. SPECIFIC PROJECT OBJECTIVES • introduction of formal QM structures at Medical Schools (QM office, QM legislation, procedures, databases, etc.) • education of QM staff at BH Universities about quality management • writing and publishing of manual for quality management • internal and external assessment of BH Schools • dissemination of QM ideas in BH

ACTIVITIES: • 1.1 Management of the project • 1.2 Organization of planning meeting and evaluation meeting. • 2.1Training visits in EFQM model at EU Universities • 2.2Education of staff about procedures and methods for internal assessment during seminars at partner Universities • 3.0 Preparing of manual and questionnaires for internal assessment • 4.1 Introduction of web site of the project • 4.2 Dissemination conference and monitoring questionnaires • 5.0 Self-assessment and external assessment of BH faculties

SPECIFIC PROJECT OBJECTIVES-related activities • introduction of formal QM structures at Medical Schools (QM office, QM legislation, procedures, databases, etc.) Activity 1: legal papers and office establishment • education of QM staff at BH Universities about quality management Activity 1: small number highly motivated people fully trained in QM instead of basic training of large number of people Activity 2: 3-sessions training and formal assessment Activity 3: international certification

SPECIFIC PROJECT OBJECTIVES-related activities 3. writing and publishing of manual for quality management Activity 1: design of manual structure (content) Activity 2: establishment of working group for each chapter, leader responsible for deadlines Activity 3: editorial process and publishing Note: Questionnaire would be a part of manual

  12. Proposal for new activitiesSummary • Formal structure, regulations and bylaws and office for QM • Evaluation of the courses and existing Questionnaires form Self-evaluation • Involving of Medical Faculty Tuzla and Banja Luka in project activities • New publishing activities

Expected results • Forming of core groups at Medical faculties in BH in charge of quality assessment • Basic education of the core groups about introducing QM on Medical faculties • Developing of QMmanual • Evaluation of the courses • New self assessment report and external assessment report • Establishing regular systematic quality assessment procedures on our faculties
