Well, here, we have come with some of the common NCLEX questions which pop up in everyone’s mind. 1 Who is eligible to take the NCLEX? Each Regulatory Body (RB) or Board of Nursing (BOD) will have their own specific eligibility requirements. Candidates are requested to comply with the requirements needed where they are trying get to license or registration. 2 Can I register for the test myself? Can you tell me more about the process of registration? Yes, you can do this. You can reach official website and register for the test. To register for NCLEX, contact your BON or RB. You will pay registration or licensing fee to the RB / BON. Submit your application material. Remember, you will have to obtain registration or licensure application from the BON or RB where you are trying to get registration or licensure (as per your state or province because requirements may vary). 3 What type of test is NCLEX? It is Computerized Adaptive Testing. Questions with considerable level of difficulty will continuously appear on the screen whenever candidates submit a correct answer. But, if the test- taker answers a question wrong, a simple question may appear (and again upon answering it correctly, a difficult question will be followed). 4 What will be the content like? It will be based on the nursing specialties. 5 What will be the readability level of the test?

For NCLEX- RN exam, it may be around 1300 Lexiles and for the NCLEX-PN, it may be around 1200 Lexiles. . 6 How many questions will there in NCLEX? The number of questions may vary and it is also depended more upon how you answer. Total number of questions can be from 75 to 265. 7 I do not know the answer for the question, so, can I skip it and move to next question? Well, you can’t skip the questions. You will have to anyhow answer. Moreover, your right or wrong answer will determine the difficulty level of the next questions you will get. 8 I have got only 75 items and the test ended; does this mean I may not get qualified? Well, if anyone takes the test and he or she gets only 75 items, this may mean that he or she doesn’t have the capability to get through the passing standard. 9 I have applied for the test once but have got failed. Now, I am thinking of applying for it again. So, will I have to retake the exam starting from the same difficulty level as per my previous exam? Certainly. Not. You will take or retake new test. The difficulty level will again be adjusted as you continue to answer questions. 10 Is it true that candidates are randomly selected to receive max length exam? No, it is not true. As it has already been said, the number of the questions one may get in NCLEX exam will be depended more on how one may answer. The difficulty level gets adjusted as per the responses submitted by the candidates. 11 What does this “Near-The-Passing-Standard” mean on CPR (Candidate Performance Report)?
