Technology has changed operations to provide a smooth visitor experience. In this blog, we’ll see some of the trends of hotels in Zambia. The first technological innovation began with digital check-in. Check-in was a time-consuming process which took longer than usual. And as we know, all it takes is your smartphone for a hassle-free and seamless check-in process. And the adoption of tech innovations didn’t end, but boomed.. The shift was significant. Replacing traditional metal keys with electronic keycards, it offered an evolution of guest security, embracing technology. Adding another innovation is having a sleek robotic service at hotels in Lusaka town. Working alongside the staff, this robot welcomes guests and even serves drinks. Making the staff focus on other crucial activities. This adoption of robotic technology marks a significant leap in hotel operations, setting a new standard for service and guest satisfaction in Zambia. Smart room systems are slowly evolving in the hotel industry. With voice or app assistance, guests are able to control the room amenities. It includes room temperature, an entertainment system and sometimes setting the right light according to the mood. These offer a personalised experience which is tailored to the guests. Moreover, the smart automations, the systems always have a track of cleaning schedules or guests' requirements. This helps in notifying which room requires cleaning and other housekeeping or room service. These are just a few of the many instances. Significantly making the entire guest experience a breeze, from room booking to room service, the technology integration is on the rise. This makes a sheer transformation in the hospitality industry. Marking a transition, this rise the expectations of the guests. As technology advances, we can envision the future of Zambia’s hotel industry. One thing is certain, the digital age is here to stay, and with it, an era of unparalleled guest experiences awaits across accommodations in Lusaka.
