Bass Pro Shop with Maryland Regional Operation & Operation Diabetes • Saturday, September 22nd • 2pm – 4pm • Participants with Heartburn Awareness Challenge: 5 student pharmacists & 1 faculty member/pharmacist • Heartburn Awareness educated 12 people & screened 7 people • Found 5 people with episodic heartburn, 2 with frequent heartburn, and 0 with severe heartburn

  2. Heartburn Awareness Training Session • Tuesday, October 9th, 2007 • 3:00 – 4:00pm • Dr. Charmaine Rochester presented an hour long presentation about the condition of heartburn and different treatment strategies • Lecture was recorded and copied onto cds for students who were unable to attend

Bass Pro Shop with Maryland Regional Operation • Saturday, October 14th • 1pm – 4pm • Participants: 3 student pharmacists & 1 faculty member/pharmacist • Heartburn Awareness educated 16 people & screened 10 people • Found 7 people with episodic heartburn, 2 with frequent heartburn, and 0 with severe heartburn

  4. University of Maryland Medical Center • Thursday, November 8th, 2007 • 4:30 – 7:30pm • Outpatient Pharmacy: ~ 600 Rx’s/day!! • Participants: 9 student pharmacists & 1 preceptor/pharmacist • Screened: 23 • Evaluated: 16 • Episodic: 8 • Frequent: 5 • Severe: 3

Our Daily Bread Health Fair with Operation Immunization • Organized by the University of Maryland – Baltimore School of Nursing • November 29th, 2007 from 10:30-12:30pm • Participants: 6 student pharmacists & 1 faculty member/pharmacist • Screened: 36 • Evaluated: 31 • Episodic: 17 • Frequent: 8 • Severe: 6
