My Unit Title FACILITATE THE INDUSTRIES AND COMMERCIAL ZONE THROUGH PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC)
My Unit Plan Summary • Due to power wastage, excessive labor, time consumption & less production create delay system which is involved in industries & commercial zone. We have to face a big problem, at times relays & wired system were used in industries but we need to replace all these because there were no programming & controlling of machines which is a major cause of our modern era. • Being an Electrical engineer I felt this need of time and decided to do a project with my students in which they will make their own plc projects for industry and commercial zone and can offer it for sale to industrialist or petrol pumps in their community. Their task will be to provide programming & controlling of automation, monitor systems, sensors & temperature control etc. • students got the skill for the utilization of different components used in it & they would be able to elaborate the circuit & ladder diagrams as well. • All these will help to students to meet their 21st century skills like self direction, confidence, creativity and awareness about the market trends.

Objectives to achieve at the completion of the course • At the end of the project my students will be able to: • Study about circuits, and different components like diodes, LCD’s, gates, relays, processor, IC’s. • Study ladder diagram & counter system. • Survey market for the available PLC module prices and price of each components used in its manufacture . • Correct selection of programming instruments like microprocessor. .

Assessment Techniques • The assessment is made before commencing the project on the basis of, introduction of the topic, sharing project presentation, brainstorming and questioning, answering session. • The assessment tools will be checklist, class test, teacher presentation, collaborative work score guide, mock viva session and rubrics, which help them for self-direction. .
