AAO-HNS FOUNDATION GRANT PROGRAMS 1983:Research Office, Research Endowment Fund established 1985:1 grant given (Norwich-Eaton) 1986-2000:10 new grant mechanisms added (4 collaborative; 2 endowed; 2 corporate) 1999:CORE program established 2002-2003:Electronic grant application and review system launched

  3. GRANT PROGRAM OBJECTIVES • Prepare young investigators to write competitive grant applications • Provide seed/pilot funds for preliminary data collection, development of skills • Prepare reviewers to sit on NIH and other comparable study sections

  4. TYPES OF RESEARCH GRANTS • 12 Research project grants ($290,000) • 9 Research training grants ($110,000) • 5 Career development grants ($95,000)
