Weighted Grades • Windsor High School recognizes and encourages the additional effort and learning required in classes beyond the usual level of difficulty for high school courses. • A weighted grading scale will be implemented for certain courses that have a consistently verified and elevated curriculum and that culminate in an assessment demonstrating the student’s mastery of the subject matter.

  16. Weighted Grades Beginning 2011-2012 The following categories of courses will be weighted on a 5 point scale: • Advanced Placement program courses • Dual-Credit courses that meet or exceed the level of AP courses • Concurrent Enrollment courses that meet or exceed the level of AP courses

  17. Advanced Opportunities Concurrent Enrollment Early Graduation Available During Junior and Senior Years Deadline for Fall Semester Courses: May 1 Deadline for Spring Semester Courses: November 1 Application Deadline: April 1 of Junior Year

Online Registration Open: January 16 Closed: January 23 • Students login to his/her Infinite Campus portal using student ID number and password • If first time on Infinite Campus, password will be 6-digit birth date • Please logon to portal before registration opens to be sure that your account is working properly • If you are unable to login to the portal, please contact Infinite Campus support at ICsupport@weldre4.k12.co.us

Online Registration • Registration is complete when there are 16/16 “UNITS” requested and 4 “ALTERNATE COURSES” requested. • Be sure that you have requested the “A” and “B” section of yearlong classes. • Do not register for Marching Band. This course will be added later for those students participating in this class.

  21. Online Registration Open Blocks • Juniors may request 1 Open Block per semester • You must have at least 16 credits at the end of your Sophomore year • Open Blocks will only be offered 1st and 4th blocks on Maroon and Gold days • Students must leave campus during their open block

Online Registration • Click “PRINT REQUEST SUMMARY” to print a copy of your requests. • Parent/Guardian and current math teacher must sign copy indicating approval of requested courses. • Turn signed copy in to WHS Counseling Office by Tuesday, January 25. • The 2011-2012 Course Description Book can be found on the Windsor High School website.

  24. ScheduleChanges • The Master Schedule is “Student Driven”. Courses and sections are scheduled because of the class requests that are made through this registration process. • Please choose your classes wisely! • Any schedule changes will be handled on a space available basis.
