2012 -2013 TIMELINE… • Fall 2012 (senior year) • Complete and mail/submit admission applications by the appropriate DEADLINE • Attend the AISD College Night, if not sure of college(s) • Contact local college representatives • Re-take the SAT I or ACT (if necessary to raise score) • Spring 2013 • Parents complete 2012 federal income tax • Attend Financial aid meetings (pp. 41-45) • Apply for Financial aid (www.fafsa.org)

Common Errors on college applications • Applicant FAILED to meet deadline • SAT or ACT not sent directly from the testing agency • Official transcripts not sent within deadline • Questions on the application are left blank • Failure to hit “submit” after completion
