  2. Who was Prometheus? • Titan • Was a son of a sea nymph • Atlas and Epimethus were his brothers • God of fire • Hersione was his wife

  3. The Myth • He was a rebel • Tried to return fire to the humans • Was punished by Zeus • Was chained to a rock and was tortured by a vulture • Was saved by half human half horse(centaur)named Chiron

  4. What did Prometheus do? Prometheus had to……. • Determine how sacrifices were to be made to the gods • Created creatures/humans

  5. A Little Bit About Frankenstein’s Creature • Frankenstein was the person who created the monster • The creature was constructed of body parts • Frankenstein and society rejected the monster • Was miserable

  6. Prometheus and Frankenstein linked • Both Frankenstein and Prometheus are stories of creation • Frankenstein creates his monster • In the myth Prometheus, humans and other creatures are created.
